Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me to say at the time of the Maghrib adhan: "'Allahumma hadha iqbalu laylika wa idbaru naharika wa aswatu du'atika faghfir li' (O Allah, this is the coming of Your night, the departure of Your day and the voices of Your callers (the mu'adhdhins), so forgive me)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. Al-Qasim bin Ma'n is among the nobles and trustworthy narrators of Kufah whose hadith is written down.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This is how it appeared in the old copies of "al-Mustadrak"; al-Bayhaqi, after narrating it from the author (al-Hakim) in "al-Sunan al-Kubra" 1/410, said: "This is how it is in my book, while others narrated it by way of al-Qasim bin Ma'n from al-Mas'udi."
Grading: This chain is weak because Abu Kathir, the mawla of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), is majhul (of unknown status). Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (530) recorded it through Mu'ammal bin Ihab, from Abd Allah bin al-Walid al-Adani, with this same chain. Technical note / Defect ('illah): In it, it is stated: al-Qasim bin Ma'n narrated to us, saying: al-Mas'udi told us. Note / Clarification: Al-Mas'udi refers to Abd al-Rahman bin Abd Allah bin Utbah bin Abd Allah bin Mas'ud, and al-Qasim bin Ma'n is known for narrating from him. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (3589) recorded it by way of Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq, from Hafsah bint Abi Kathir, from her father Abu Kathir, with the addition in it: "and at the time of the presence of Your prayers". Grading: Al-Tirmidhi said: "This hadith is gharib, and we know neither Hafsah bint Abi Kathir nor her father."
