أخبرني أبو علي الحسين بن علي الحافظ، أخبرنا أبو عبد الرحمن أحمد بن شعيب النَّسائي (3) وعبد الله بن محمد بن ناجيَة، قالا: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم بن حبيب بن الشَّهيد، حدثنا أبي [عن أبيه] (4) عن عمرو بن دينار، عن جابر بن عبد الله بن عمرو بن حَرَام، قال: أمر أبي بخَزيرة، فصُنعت، ثم أمرني فحملتُها إلى رسول الله ﷺ فإذا هو في منزله، فقال: "ما هذا يا جابرُ؟ ألحمٌ هذا؟ " قلتُ: لا يا رسول الله، ولكنها خَزيرة أمر بها أبي فصُنعت، ثم أمرني فحملتُها إليك، ثم رجعتُ إلى أبي فقال: هل رأيتَ رسول الله ﷺ؟ قلتُ: نعم، قال: فما قال لك؟ قلت: قال: "ألحمٌ هذا يا جابر؟ " قال أبي: عسى أن يكونَ رسولُ الله ﷺ اشتهَى اللحمَ، فقام إلى داجنٍ له فذبحَها وشواها، ثم أمرني بحملها إليه، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "جَزَى الله الأنصارَ عنَّا خيرًا، ولا سيَّما عبدِ الله بن عمرو بن حَرَام وسعدِ بن عُبادة" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that my father ordered "khazirah" (a dish prepared from meat and flour) to be prepared. I took it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Jabir! Is this meat?" I said: No, O Messenger of Allah! Rather, this is khazirah. Then I came back and told my father, and he said: Perhaps he (peace and blessings be upon him) desires to eat meat. So he slaughtered a house-reared goat, roasted it, and ordered me to take it to him (peace and blessings be upon him). (When I arrived,) he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah Almighty reward the Ansar with the best reward on our behalf, especially Abdullah bin Amr bin Haram and Sa'd bin Ubadah."

Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Nasa'i (8223) from Muhammad bin Uthman, and by Ibn Hibban (7020) through the route of Ahmad bin Ibrahim al-Dawraqi. Both of them narrate it from Ibrahim bin Habib, from his father Habib, from Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). Al-Nasa'i's narration mentions only the story of the supplication for the Ansar, in abridged form.

الخَزيرة: هي لحم يقطع صغارًا، ويصب عليه ماء كثير، فإذا نضج وضع عليه الدقيق.
Important point: "Al-khazirah" is the dish in which meat is cut into small pieces and boiled in plenty of water, and then flour is added and it is cooked.
