حدَّثَناه أبو عبد الله محمد بن بُطَّة الأصبهاني، حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن زكريا، حدثنا إسماعيل بن عمرو، حدثنا محمد بن الفضل، عن ابن جُرَيج، عن عطاء، عن ابن عبّاس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "احفَظُوني في العرب لثلاثِ خِصالٍ: لأنِّي عربيٌّ، والقرآنَ، عربيٌّ، ولسانَ أهل الجنَّة عربيٌّ (1). قال الحاكم رحمه الله تعالى: حديثُ يحيى بن بُرَيد عن ابن جريج حديثٌ صحيح! وإنما ذكرتُ حديث محمد بن الفضل متابعًا له، والمتهاونُ بقول المصطفى ﷺ: "كلام أهل الجنَّة عربيٌّ"، مُتهاوِنٌ بالله ورسوله ﷺ، فإِنَّ شواهده تُنذِرُ بالوعيد منه ﷺ لمن يختارُ الفارسيةَ على العربية نُطقًا وكتابةً، وقد رُوِّينا في ذلك أحاديث: فمنها:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep regard for me concerning the Arabs, for three qualities: because I am an Arab, the Qur'an is in Arabic, and the language of the people of Paradise is Arabic."
Imam al-Hakim says: The narration of Yahya bin Burayd from Ibn Jurayj is sahih; I have mentioned the narration of Muhammad bin al-Fadl in support of it. Whoever takes lightly this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "The language of the people of Paradise is Arabic," is falling short in regard to Allah and His Messenger, for its supporting reports contain a severe warning for those who prefer Persian over Arabic in speaking or writing. Further hadiths on this subject have also reached us, some of which are these:

(1) إسناده تالف، إسماعيل بن عمرو - وهو البجلي - ضعيف، ومحمد بن الفضل - وهو ابن عطية العبسي - متهم بالكذب، وقال الذهبي في "التلخيص": متهم، وأظن الحديث موضوعًا. قلنا: تقدم تخريجه والكلام عليه في الرواية السابقة.
Grading: Its chain is 'talif' (ruined).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Isma'il bin Amr al-Bajali is weak, while Muhammad bin al-Fadl bin Atiyyah is 'muttaham bi al-kadhib' (accused of lying).
Important point: Imam al-Dhahabi expressed his opinion that it is 'mawdu'' (fabricated); its detailed referencing has already passed in the previous narration.
