Jami' said that Khalid bin Ma'dan narrated something similar from Abu Umamah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
This hadith has also been narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and what we have mentioned here is closer to authenticity.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (1) The text between the brackets [ ] was not present in the manuscripts; we have established it from Imam al-Dhahabi's "al-Talkhis".
Grading: (2) Its chain is very weak, like the previous chain. Reference / Source: Tammam al-Razi narrated it in "al-Fawa'id" (260, 1682) through the chain of Yahya bin Salih al-Wuhazi. Important point: Its wording is: "Tuba for the one who saw me, and for the one who saw the one who saw me," and so on. This hadith is not established (sahih) with this wording. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (36/22138, 22139, 22214, 22277) and Ibn Hibban (7233) narrated it through the chain of Hammam bin Yahya al-'Awdhi from Qatadah from Ayman from Abu Umamah with the words 'Tuba seven times'. Technical note / Defect ('illah): The full lineage of Qatadah's shaykh 'Ayman' is not mentioned in any of the routes. Al-Hafiz al-'Iraqi said: "I do not know him." Imam al-Bukhari in "al-Tarikh al-Kabir" (2/27) and Ibn Abi Hatim in "al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil" (2/319) mentioned him without lineage, and Qatadah's hearing from Ayman is not established. Ibn Hibban called him 'Ayman bin Malik al-Ash'ari', but since only Qatadah narrated from him and no reliable imam called him thiqah, he is a 'majhul' (unknown) narrator. Grading: We say that the wording of Ayman's hadith from Abu Umamah rises to the level of 'hasan' on the basis of other supporting reports. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abd al-Malik bin Amr (Abu Amir al-'Aqadi) differed from Hammam and narrated this hadith as part of the Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) (Ibn Hibban 7232). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Hushaym narrated it through the chain of Mansur bin Zadhan from Qatadah from Thumamah bin Abd Allah bin Anas as 'mursal' ('Ilal al-Daraqutni 2708); but according to Imam al-Daraqutni the preserved version is that it is the narration of Ayman from Abu Umamah. Note / Clarification: Imam Ibn Hibban took the position that both narrations are authentic, writing in his Sahih that Ayman heard this report from both Abu Hurayrah and Abu Umamah!
Note / Clarification: (1) In manuscript (Z) the word 'sahih' is written in place of the word 'hadith'.
Reference / Source: (2) Imam Ahmad narrated it (20/12578) with a weak chain; we mentioned its wording in the note on the previous hadith.
