It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out during his illness, having tied a cloth band around his blessed head. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "People will keep increasing, but the Ansar will keep decreasing, until they become among the people like salt in food. So whoever among you is put in charge of any affair, let him accept the good of those among them who do good and overlook those among them who err."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: It is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and this chain is "jayyid" (good) because of Abd al-Rahman bin al-Ghasil. Reference / Source: This narration was narrated by Ahmad 3/ (2074) and 4/ (2629), and al-Bukhari (927), (3628) and (3800) by various routes from Abd al-Rahman bin al-Ghasil (Abd al-Rahman bin Sulayman bin al-Ghasil), with this chain. Important point: The narrations of al-Bukhari are more complete than the narration of al-Hakim, while the first narration of Ahmad is abridged, with these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the people, and on his head was a dark (or oily) band ('isabah dasimah)." Note / Clarification: Al-Hakim's including this hadith in al-Mustadrak is an "oversight" (dhuhul) on his part, since it is already established in al-Bukhari.
