حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق إملاءً، حدثنا يوسف بن يعقوب، حدثنا أبو الرَّبيع الزَّهْراني، حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر، حدثنا محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سلمة، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "دَعَا اللهُ جبريلَ فأرسلَه إلى الجنة، فقال: انظُرْ إليها وما أَعددتُ فيها لأهلِها، فقال: وعِزَّتِكَ لا يسمعُ بها أحدٌ إلّا دخلها، فحُفَّتْ بالمَكارِه، قال: ارجِعْ إليها فانظُرْ إليها، فرجعَ، فقال: وعزَّتِكَ لقد خَشِيتُ أن لا يدخلَها أحدٌ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد رواه حماد بن سلمة عن محمد بن عمرو بزيادة ألفاظ:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty called Jibril (peace be upon him) and sent him to Paradise, and said: 'Look at it, and at what I have prepared in it for its people.' He (having looked) said: '(O Allah!) By Your might, no one will hear of it except that he will certainly enter it.' Then Allah surrounded it with disliked things (hardships), then said: 'Go back to it and look at it.' He went back and said: 'By Your might, now I fear that no one will be able to enter it.'"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two of them (Imam Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. Hammad bin Salamah has also narrated it through Muhammad bin Amr with additional wording:

(1) إسناده حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو: وهو ابن علقمة الليثي. يوسف بن يعقوب: هو ابن إسماعيل بن حماد بن زيد القاضي، وأبو الربيع الزهراني: هو سليمان بن داود العَتَكي.
Grading: This chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqamah al-Laythi.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator Yusuf bin Ya'qub is "Ibn Isma'il bin Hammad bin Zayd al-Qadi", and Abu al-Rabi' al-Zahrani is "Sulayman bin Dawud al-Ataki".
وأخرجه أحمد 14/ (8861) عن سليمان بن داود الهاشمي، عن إسماعيل بن جعفر، بهذا الإسناد. وانظر ما بعده.
