حدثناه أبو علي الحافظ، أخبرنا أبو محمد بن صاعد، حدثنا عبد الله ابن شبيب، حدثنا أيوب بن سليمان بن بلال، حدثني أبو بكر بن أبي أُويس، عن سليمان، قال: قال يحيى بن سعيد وصالح بن كَيْسان، عن الزهري، عن أنس قال: لما أُسِرَ أبو العاص قالت زينب: إنّي قد أجرتُ أبا العاص، فقال النَّبيّ ﷺ: "قد أجَرْنا من أجرتِ زينب؛ إنه يُجيرُ على المسلمين أدناهم" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Abu al-As was taken prisoner, Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I have granted protection to Abu al-As." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whomever Zaynab has granted protection, we too have granted him protection; for even the lowest individual among the Muslims can grant protection on behalf of them all."

(1) إسناده ضعيف جدًّا من أجل عبد الله بن شبيب سليمان: هو ابن بلال المدني.
Grading: Its chain is very weak (da'if jiddan) because of "'Abd Allah bin Shabib".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (Sulayman) in the chain is "Ibn Bilal al-Madani".
وأخرجه ابن أبي عاصم في "الآحاد والمثاني" (555) و (2974)، وابن المنذر في "الأوسط" (6264)، والطحاوي في "شرح المشكل" (1245)، والمحاملي في "الأمالي" (330 - رواية ابن البيع) - ومن طريقه ابن عساكر في "تاريخه" 67/ 16 و 16 - 17 - من طريق عبد الله بن شبيب، بهذا الإسناد. ووقع خطأ في المطبوع من "أمالي المحاملي"، وكذا في "تاريخ دمشق"، فليصحح.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi 'Asim narrated it in "al-Ahad wa al-Mathani" (555 and 2974), Ibn al-Mundhir in "al-Awsat" (6264), al-Tahawi in "Sharh Mushkil al-Athar" (1245), al-Mahamili in "al-Amali" (330 - the narration of Ibn al-Bayyi'), and by way of him Ibn 'Asakir in his "Tarikh" (67/16 and 16-17), by way of 'Abd Allah bin Shabib with this chain.
Important point: An error occurred (at this place) in the printed editions of "Amali al-Mahamili" and likewise "Tarikh Dimashq", so it should be corrected.
وأخرجه الدُّولابي في "الذرية الطاهرة" (59) عن النضر بن سلمة المروزي، عن أيوب بن سليمان بن بلال، عن أبي بكر، عن سليمان بن بلال، عن صالح بن كيسان وحده، به. والنضر لا يفرح به، متهم.
Reference / Source: Al-Dulabi narrated it in "al-Dhurriyyah al-Tahirah" (59) from al-Nadr bin Salamah al-Marwazi, from Ayyub bin Sulayman bin Bilal, from Abu Bakr, from Sulayman bin Bilal, from Salih bin Kaysan alone.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator "al-Nadr" is of no value (not reliable); he is "muttaham" (accused of lying and the like).
