حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن بُطَّة، حدثنا الحسن بن الجهم، حدثنا الحسين بن الفَرَج، حدثنا محمد بن عمر (1) قال: والكلابية قد اختلف في اسمِها، فقال بعضُهم: هي فاطمة بنت الضحاك بن سفيان الكلابي. وقال بعضهم: هي عَمْرة بنت زيد بن عبيد بن رُوَاس بن كلاب بن عامر. وقال بعضُهم: هي عالية بنت ظَبْيان بن عمرو بن عوف بن كعب بن عبيد بن كلاب (2). وقال بعضُهم: هي سَبَا (3) بنتُ سفيان بن عوف بن كعب بن عبيد بن أبي بكر بن كلاب. فقال بعضهم: ولم تكن إلَّا كِلابيةٌ واحدة، وإنما اختلف في اسمها، وقال بعضهم: بل كُنّ جميعًا، ولكن لكل واحدةٍ منهن قصة غير قصة (4) صاحبتها.

It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) that there is disagreement about the name of the Kilabi woman. Some said: She was Fatimah bint al-Dahhak bin Sufyan al-Kilabi. Some said: She was Amrah bint Zayd bin Ubayd bin Ru'as bin Kilab. According to some, she was Aliyah bint Zabyan bin Amr bin Awf, while some called her Saba bint Sufyan bin Awf. Some held that she was a single Kilabi woman whose name was disputed, while others said that these were all separate women and each one's story was different from the other's.

Note / Clarification: The manuscripts have "Saba" thus, and the comment on it has passed in the previous biography.
