أخبرني أبو القاسم الحسن بن محمد السَّكُوني بالكوفة، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد الله الحَضْرميّ، حَدَّثَنَا أبو كُريب، حَدَّثَنَا أبو خالد الأحمر، حدَّثني رَزين، حدثتني سَلْمى (4) قالت: دخلتُ على أمِّ سلمة وهي تبكيّ، فقلتُ: ما يُبكيكِ؟ قالت: رأيتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ يبكي في المنام وعلى رأسه ولحيتِه التُّرابُ، فقلتُ: ما لكَ يا رسولَ الله؟ قال: "شهدت قتلَ الحُسين آنفًا" (1).

It is narrated from Salma that she said: I went to the Mother of the Believers Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and she was weeping. I asked: Why are you weeping? She said: "I have just seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream; he (peace and blessings be upon him) was weeping, and there was dust on his blessed head and his blessed beard. I said: O Messenger of Allah! What is the matter with you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'I was just now present at the place of the killing of Husayn.'"

(4) تحرّف في نسخنا الخطية إلى: زريق حدَّثني سلمان قال، والتصويب من "جامع الترمذيّ" وغيره من المصادر.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (4) In our manuscripts this had been corrupted into "Zurayq haddathani Salman", and the correction is from "Jami' al-Tirmidhi" and other sources.
(1) إسناده ليِّن، أبو خالد الأحمر - وهو سليمان بن حيان - صدوق يخطئ كما قال الحافظ ابن حجر في "التقريب"، وسلمى - وهي البكرية - مجهولة، تفرَّد بالرواية عنها رزين - وهو ابن حبيب الجهني - ولم يؤثر توثيقها عن أحد، وقال ابن حجر: لا تُعرَف. أبو كريب: هو محمد بن العلاء.
Grading: (1) Its chain is "layyin" (weak). Abu Khalid al-Ahmar - who is Sulayman bin Hayyan - is "saduq" but makes mistakes, as al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said in "al-Taqrib". And Salma - who is al-Bakriyyah - is "majhulah"; only Razin (Ibn Habib al-Juhani) narrated from her, and no one is reported to have declared her trustworthy; Ibn Hajar said: She is not known.
Important point: Abu Kurayb is Muhammad bin al-Ala'.
وأخرجه الترمذيّ (3771) عن أبي سعيد الأشج، عن أبي خالد الأحمر، بهذا الإسناد. وقال: حديث غريب.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3771) from Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj, from Abu Khalid al-Ahmar, with this chain, and he said: This hadith is "gharib".
