Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6917

It is narrated from Sayyidah Hind bint al-Harith al-Firasiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aishah has a special place with me which no one has reached so far." She said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What has become of that special place? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent, from which it was understood that Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) had also attained that same place with him (peace and blessings be upon him).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (1) In manuscripts (M) and (S) the word is "nawluha", while what we have recorded is from (Z) and (B), which agrees with the takhrij sources.

Grading: (2) Its narrators are thiqah. Hind al-Firasiyyah is among the trustworthy female Tabi'is and was one of the companions of Umm Salamah, so this hadith of hers is "mursal".
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ibn Sa'd in "al-Tabaqat" (10/ 92) - and via him al-Tabari in his "Tarikh" (11/ 604) - from al-Waqidi, and al-Baladhuri in "Ansab al-Ashraf" (1/ 432) via Sufyan bin Uyaynah, both of them (al-Waqidi and Sufyan) from Ma'mar, with this chain. In Sufyan's narration the wording is: "So it became known that Umm Salamah had attained a gentle (special) standing with him (peace and blessings be upon him)." This wording clarifies the intended meaning.
