ذِكْرُ الصَّحَابِيَّاتِ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَغَيْرِهِنَّ - رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُنَّ - فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ نَبْدَأُ بِهِنَّ الصِّدِّيقَةُ بِنْتُ الصِّدِّيقِ عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا -

حدثني أبو جعفر أحمد بن عُبيد بن إبراهيم الأسدي الحافظ بهَمَذان، حَدَّثَنَا إبراهيم بن الحسين بن دِيزِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أبو مُسهِر عبد الأعلى بن مُسهر، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن جابر، عن عمِّه يزيد بن يزيد بن جابر، عن أبيه قال: تزوَّج النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عائشةَ ولها سبعُ سنينَ، ودخلَ بها ولها تسعُ سنين، وقُبِضَ عنها ولها ثمانِ عشرةَ سنة، وتوفِّيت زمنَ معاويةَ سنة سبعٍ وخمسين (3).

Yazid bin Yazid bin Jabir narrates from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) when she was seven years old; when she was sent to his home she was nine years old; when he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away she was eighteen years old; and she herself died in the time of Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), in the year 57 AH.

(3) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد لا بأس برجاله، لكنه مرسل، ويزيد بن جابر روى عنه ثلاثة، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، فمثله حسن الحديث.
Grading: (3) This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi" (authentic due to other reports), while there is no harm in the narrators of this chain (la ba'sa bi-rijalihi), but it is mursal.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Three narrators narrated from Yazid bin Jabir, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat", so the hadith of a narrator like him is hasan.
ولم نقف عليه من هذا الطريق عند غير المصنّف.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): We have not found this hadith through this route with anyone other than the author (al-Hakim).
وأخرج البخاري (5133)، ومسلم (1422) - واللفظ له - من حديث عائشة: أنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ تزوجها وهي بنت سبع سنين، وزُفَّت إليه وهي بنت تسع سنين، ولُعَبُها معها، ومات عنها وهي بنت ثمان عشرة.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Bukhari (5133) and Muslim (1422) - the wording is Muslim's - from the hadith of A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married her when she was seven years old, she was brought to his house when she was nine years old, with her dolls with her, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away she was eighteen."
