حدثني أبو بكر بن بالَوَيهِ، حدثنا إبراهيم بن إسحاق الحَرْبي، حدثنا مصعب بن عبد الله قال: وعبدُ الله بن جَحْش؛ فذكر هذا النسبَ في تسمية من شَهِد بدرًا من المسلمين، وزاد أنه حَليفُ بني أُمية بن عبد شمس.
It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in the Battle of Badr with the Muslims, and he was an ally of Banu Umayyah bin Abd Shams.
