حدثنا أبو العبّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد (1) بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا يونس بن بُكير، عن ابن إسحاق، قال: وعبدُ الله بن جَحْش بن رِئاب بن يَعمرَ بن صَبِرَة بن كَبير (2) بن غَنْم بن دُودان بن أسد بن خُزيمة، وأمُّه أُميمةُ بنت عبد المطلب عمَّةُ رسولِ الله ﷺ.
It is narrated from Ibn Ishaq that Abdullah bin Jahsh bin Ri'ab bin Ya'mar bin Sabirah bin Kabir bin Ghanm bin Dudan bin Asad bin Khuzaymah (is his lineage), and his mother Umaymah bint Abd al-Muttalib was the paternal aunt of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
