Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6802

It is narrated from Urwah bin al-Zubayr that Abu Lubabah Bashir bin Abd al-Mundhir and al-Harith bin Hatib set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) towards Badr, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent them both back (from the way), and he appointed Abu Lubabah (may Allah be pleased with him) as governor over Madinah, and he assigned them both a regular share (of the spoils) along with the people of Badr.
