أخبرنا أبو جعفر البغدادي، حدثنا أبو عُلاثة، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا ابن لَهِيعة، عن أبي الأسوَد، عن عُرْوة، في تسمية من هاجرَ إلى أرض الحبشة الهجرةَ الأولى قبلَ خروج جعفر بن أبي طالب: سُهيلُ ابن بيضاء، وفي تسمية من شهد بدرًا من قريش، ثم من بني الحارث بن فِهْر: سُهيل ابن بيضاءَ.
It is narrated from Urwah that among the names of those who made the first emigration to the land of Abyssinia, before the departure of Ja'far bin Abi Talib, is the name of Suhayl bin Bayda'; likewise, among those of Quraysh, and then of Banu al-Harith bin Fihr, who took part in the Battle of Badr, Suhayl bin Bayda' is also mentioned.
