حدثني أبو بكر بن بالَوَيهِ، حدثنا إبراهيم بن إسحاق الحَرْبي، حدثنا مصعب بن عبد الله الزُّبيري قال: سُهيلُ ابن بيضاء هو سهيل بن وهب بن ربيعة بن هلال بن أُهَيب بن ضَبَّة بن الحارث بن فِهْر بن مالك بن النَّضر، وبيضاءُ أمُّه، وهي اسمُها دَعْدُ بنت سعيد بن سَهْم (4).
It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that Suhayl bin Bayda' is in fact Suhayl bin Wahb bin Rabi'ah bin Hilal bin Uhayb bin Dabbah bin al-Harith bin Fihr bin Malik bin al-Nadr, and "Bayda'" is the title of his mother, whose actual name was Da'd bint Sa'id bin Sahm.

Important point: It is like this in "al-Mustadrak"; according to Ibn Sa'd's "Tabaqat" (3/ 384) his mother was "al-Bayda'", whose actual name was Da'd bint Jahdam bin 'Amr bin 'A'ish bin Zarib bin al-Harith bin Fihr.
