حدثني محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا السَّري بن خزيمة، حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، أخبرنا ثابت البُناني، حدثني عمر بن أبي سَلَمة بن عبد الأسد، عن أمِّه أمِّ سلمة، أنَّ أباه أبا سلمة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إذا أصابت أحدَكم مصيبةٌ فليقُلْ: إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون، اللهمَّ عندك أحتسبُ مُصِيبتي"، وذكر الحديثَ بطوله (1).
هذا حديث مخرَّج في "الصحيحين"، وإنما خرجتُه لأني لم أجد لأبي سلمة عن رسولِ الله ﷺ حديثًا مسنَدًا غيرَ هذا (2). ذكرُ سُهيل (3) ابن بَيضاءَ ﵁-

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that her husband Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a calamity befalls any of you, let him say: 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, Allahumma indaka ahtasibu musibati' (We belong to Allah and to Him we return; O Allah, with You I hope for reward for this calamity of mine)." And he mentioned the long hadith.
This hadith is recorded in the two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim), and I have cited it here because I did not find any other musnad hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) besides this one.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد رجاله ثقات لكن سيأتي عند المصنف مطولًا برقم (6912) عن الحسن بن يعقوب بن يوسف العدل عن السري بن خزيمة بزيادة ابن عمر بن أبي سلمة بين أبيه عمر وثابت البناني، ولم يذكر فيه أبا سلمة. ورواه كرواية الحسن بن يعقوب هذه أبو داود في "سننه" (3119) عن موسى بن إسماعيل.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, and all the narrators of this chain are thiqah.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): It will come later with the author (al-Hakim) in detail at hadith number (6912), from al-Hasan bin Ya'qub bin Yusuf al-'Adl, from al-Sari bin Khuzaymah, where the son of 'Umar bin Abi Salamah is added between his father 'Umar and Thabit al-Bunani, and Abu Salamah is not mentioned. Imam Abu Dawud also narrated it in his "Sunan" (3119) from Musa bin Isma'il in the same way as this narration of al-Hasan bin Ya'qub.

(3) في العنوان وبقية أحاديث الباب في (ص) والنسخة المحمودية: سهل، والمثبت من (م) و (ب)، وسهل وسهيل أخوان.
Verification of names: In manuscript (S) and the Mahmudiyyah manuscript, in the heading and the rest of the hadiths of the chapter, this name is written "Sahl", whereas we have entered "Suhayl" according to manuscripts (M) and (B). Note that Sahl and Suhayl are brothers.
