أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حَدَّثَنَا سعيد بن مسعود، حَدَّثَنَا عبيد الله بن موسى، حَدَّثَنَا الأعمش. وحدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا بِشْر بن موسى، حَدَّثَنَا الحُمَيدي، حَدَّثَنَا سفيان، حَدَّثَنَا الأعمش، عن زيد بن وَهْب، عن عبد الرحمن ابن حَسَنة قال: انطلقتُ أنا وعمرُو بن العاص فخرج علينا رسول الله ﷺ وبيده دَرَقةٌ أو شبيه بالدَّرَقة، فاستَتَرَ بها فبالَ وهو جالس، فقلتُ لصاحبي: ألَا ترى إلى رسول الله ﷺ كيف يبولُ كما تبول المرأة، قال: فأتانا، فقال: "أَلَا تَدرُونَ ما لَقِيَ صاحبُ بني إسرائيل، كان إذا أصاب أحدًا شيءٌ من البولِ قَرَضَه بالمِقْراض، قال: فنهاهم عن ذلك، فعُذِّبَ في قبره" (2).

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) and I went out, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us with a shield in his hand. He (peace and blessings be upon him) screened himself with it and urinated sitting down. I said to my companion: "Look at the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), how he is urinating (sitting) like women do!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: "Do you not know what befell a man of the Children of Israel? When a drop of urine fell on any of them, he would cut it off with shears. He forbade them from that, so he was punished in his grave."

وأخرجه أحمد 29/ (17760) عن وكيع، عن الأعمش، بهذا الإسناد. وانظر ما بعده. ¤ ¤ الدَّرَقة: التُّرس من جلد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad 29/ (17760) narrated it through the chain of Waki' from al-A'mash; see also the next narration.
Note / Clarification: 'Al-daraqah' means a shield made of leather.
وقوله: "قرضه" أي: قطع ما أصاب ثوبه من البول.
Note / Clarification: The word 'qaradahu' in the hadith means: he cut off the part of the garment that urine had touched.
