Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 671

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) urinated sitting behind the cover of a shield. The people said: "Do you urinate (sitting) in this way, as a woman does?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the Children of Israel, when a drop of urine fell on any of them, they would cut it off with shears; and their scholar forbade them from that, so he was punished in his grave."
This hadith has an authentic chain (sahih al-isnad) and is on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it with these words.
