Mustadrak al-Hakim 669 — When one of you breaks his wudu during

وحدَّثَناه إسماعيل بن محمد بن الفضل الشَّعْراني، حَدَّثَنَا جدِّي، حَدَّثَنَا نُعَيم بن حمّاد، حَدَّثَنَا الفضل بن موسى، عن هشام بن عُرْوة، عن أبيه، عن عائشة، أنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال: "إذا أحدَثَ أحدُكم في صلاته، فليأخُذ بأنفه وليَنصرِفْ فليتوضَّأْ" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you experiences something that breaks ablution (passing wind and the like) during his prayer, let him hold his nose, turn away, and perform ablution."

سمعتُ عليَّ بن عمر الدارَقُطْني الحافظ يقول: سمعتُ أبا بكر الشافعي الصَّيرَفي يقول: كلُّ مَن أفتى من أئمَّة المسلمين من الحِيَل، إنما أخَذَه من هذا الحديث.

Imam al-Daraqutni says: I heard Abu Bakr al-Shafi'i al-Sayrafi say: Whoever among the Imams of the Muslims has given a fatwa about (legitimate) legal stratagems (hiyal) took it from this very hadith.

Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (2239) narrated it from Mahmud bin Ghaylan, from al-Fadl bin Musa, with this same chain.
وهذا إسناد صحيح. وانظر ما قبله.
