حدثنا أبو العبّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا إبراهيم بن مَرزُوق، حدثنا وهب بن جَرِير، حدثنا شُعبة، عن عمرو بن مُرَّة، عن عبد الله بن أبي أَوفى، وكان من أصحاب الشَّجرة (2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was among the People of the Tree (the fortunate Companions of the Pledge of Ridwan).

(2) إسناده صحيح إبراهيم بن مرزوق: هو ابن دينار الأُموي مولاهم.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibrahim bin Marzuq mentioned in the chain is "Ibn Dinar al-Umawi" (their client, mawla).
وأخرجه ابن أبي شيبة في" مصنفه" 13/ 51 عن غندر محمد بن جعفر عن شعبة، بهذا الإسناد. وأخرج مسلم (1857)، وابن حبان (4803) من طرق عن شعبة، عن عمرو بن مرة، قال: سمعت عبد الله بن أبي أَوفى يقول: كنا يوم الشجرة ألفًا وثلاث مئة، وكانت أسلم يؤمئذ ثُمنَ المهاجرين. وعلَّقه البخاري في "صحيحه" برقم (4155) من طرق عن شعبة.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah in his "al-Musannaf" (13/ 51) via Ghundar Muhammad bin Ja'far, from Shu'bah, with this chain. Also Muslim (1857) and Ibn Hibban (4803) narrated it via various routes from Shu'bah, from 'Amr bin Murrah.
Details of the narration: 'Abd Allah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "On the day of the Tree (Hudaybiyah) we were one thousand three hundred (1300), and the tribe of Aslam at that time was one eighth (thumun) of the Muhajirun". Al-Bukhari also mentioned it without a full chain (ta'liq) in his "Sahih" (4155) via various routes from Shu'bah.
