فحدثنا أبو عبد الله الأصبهاني، حدثنا الحسن بن الجَهْم، حدثنا الحسين ابن الفَرَج، حدثنا محمد بن عمر قال: كان الضحاك بن قيس الأكبرُ يُكنى أبا أُنَيس، قبِضَ رسولَ الله ﷺ والضحاكُ غلامٌ لم يَبلُغ.
Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) states that the kunyah of al-Dahhak bin Qays al-Akbar was Abu Unays. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, al-Dahhak was a boy who had not yet reached puberty.
