حدثنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا القَعنَبي، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد [عن محمد] (3) بن عمرو، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه، عن بلال بن الحارث، عن النبي ﷺ: قال: "المسلمُ من سَلِمَ المسلمون من لسانِه ويدِه" (4).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bilal bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The (complete) Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand (harm) the other Muslims are safe."

(3) سقط من النسخ الخطية، واستدركناه من "إتحاف المهرة" (2421). ومحمد بن عمرو هذا هو ابن علقمة بن وقاص الليثي.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This portion was missing from the manuscripts, and we have completed it from "Ithaf al-Maharah" (2421).
Identification of names: Muhammad bin 'Amr is Ibn 'Alqamah bin Waqqas al-Laythi.
(4) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل عمرو بن علقمة والد محمد، فإنه لا يعرف روى عنه غير ولده محمد، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، ومحمد صدوق حسن الحديث. علي بن عبد العزيز: هو أبو الحسن البغوي، والقعنبي: هو عبد الله مسلمة، وعبد العزيز بن محمد: هو الدَّراوردي.
Grading: This narration is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and in corroborating chains and supporting reports this chain is "hasan", because it contains 'Amr bin 'Alqamah, the father of Muhammad (bin 'Amr), from whom no one narrated except his son Muhammad; however, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat". Muhammad (bin 'Amr) himself is "saduq hasan al-hadith".
Identification of names: 'Ali bin 'Abd al-'Aziz is Abu al-Hasan al-Baghawi, al-Qa'nabi is 'Abd Allah bin Maslamah al-Qa'nabi, and 'Abd al-'Aziz bin Muhammad is al-Darawardi.
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (1137)، و "الأوسط" (3745) ـ وعنه أبو نعيم في "معرفة الصحابة" (1146) - عن علي بن عبد العزيز البغوي، بهذا الإسناد. وله شواهد عن جماعة من الصحابة، كحديث أبي هريرة السالف عند المصنف برقم (22)، وحديث جابر بن عبد الله السالف برقم (23)، وحديث فضالة بن عبيد السالف برقم (24) وحديث أنس بن مالك السالف برقم (25).
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tabarani narrated it in "al-Kabir" (1137) and "al-Awsat" (3745) through the chain of 'Ali bin 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Baghawi, and from him Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (1146).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It has supporting reports from a group of Companions (Abu Hurayrah, Jabir bin 'Abd Allah, Fadalah bin 'Ubayd and Anas bin Malik), which have already appeared in the author's (al-Hakim's) work (numbers 22 to 25).
وحديثي عبد الله بن عمرو وأبي موسى الأشعري عند البخاري (10) و (11)، ومسلم (40) و (42).
