Abu al-Zu'ayzi'ah, the scribe of Marwan bin al-Hakam, narrates that Marwan summoned Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and seated me behind the throne. Marwan began asking him questions while I kept writing, until, when a year had passed, Marwan summoned him again and seated him behind a curtain, then asked him the same questions again, and he (in his answers) neither added anything nor left anything out, nor did he put any words before or after (their place).
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
2/ 612. Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this name has been corrupted to "al-Narsi", whereas the correct form is "al-Burullusi" (an attribution to Burullus, a coastal town of Egypt). There is disagreement over its pronunciation: al-Sam'ani read the ba' and ra' with a damma, while Yaqut al-Hamawi read them with a fatha. (See: Siyar A'lam al-Nubala' 2/ 612).
9/ 375. Grading: This chain is weak because 'Amr bin 'Ubayd (al-Ansari) is "majhul". No one narrated from him except Hammad bin Zayd. Technical note / Defect ('illah): His shaykh Abu al-Zu'ayzi'ah was also declared "majhul" by Abu Hatim al-Razi. (See: al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil 9/ 375). Reference / Source: Al-Khatib al-Baghdadi narrated it in "al-Muttafiq wa al-Muftariq" (1164), and Ibn 'Asakir (20/ 89 and 67/ 340), through the route of Abu al-'Abbas Muhammad bin Ya'qub al-Asamm. Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari narrated it in the Kuna section (9/ 33) of "al-Tarikh al-Kabir" through the route of Sulayman bin Harb.
