It is narrated concerning Sayyiduna al-Arqam bin Abi al-Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the name of his father Abu al-Arqam was Abd Manaf bin Asad bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Makhzum. He was one of the people of Badr. He, Sayyiduna Abu Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah and Sayyiduna Uthman bin Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with them) accepted Islam at the same time, and Sayyiduna al-Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) was among the last of the people of Badr to pass away.
