It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) that Sa'id bin Yarbu' bin Ankathah bin Amir bin Makhzum, whose kunyah was Abu Hud, accepted Islam on the day of the Conquest of Makkah. He took part in the Battle of Hunayn with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him fifty camels from the spoils of Hunayn.
