Lubabah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) urinated in the lap of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said: "Give me your garment so that I may wash it." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The urine of a girl is washed, and water is sprinkled on the urine of a boy."

44/ (26875). Grading: This hadith is sahih, although there was disagreement over its chain in the narration from Simak bin Harb, as detailed in the notes on "Musnad Ahmad" (44/26875). Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (375) and Ibn Majah (522) narrated it via various routes from Abu al-Ahwas Sallam bin Sulaym, with this same chain. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it (26875) via the chain of Isra'il bin Yunus from Simak bin Harb. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it through Abu 'Iyad (26877) and 'Abd Allah bin al-Harith (26878) from Umm al-Fadl (Lubabah bint al-Harith, may Allah be pleased with her). Note / Clarification: A similar narration will come later at no. (4889) through Ibn 'Abbas from Umm al-Fadl.
