Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 5815

(1) إسناده ليِّن لتفرُّد يوسف بن محمد وأبيه، به، وأبوه تفرد بالرواية عنه ابن محمد، لكن ذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته"، وقد وهَّى هذا الإسناد الذهبي في "تلخيصه". أبو الزِّنْباع: هو روح بن الفرج القطان المصري.
Grading: Its chain is "layyin" (soft, i.e. weak).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The reason is that Yusuf bin Muhammad and his father are alone in narrating it. And no one narrated from his father except his son (Yusuf), but Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat". Al-Dhahabi declared this chain weak in "al-Talkhis".
Identification of names: Abu al-Zinba' refers to Rawh bin al-Faraj al-Qattan al-Misri.
وأخرجه أبو محمد الحسن بن أحمد المَخْلَدي في "الفوائد المنتخبة" بانتخاب أبي عمرو محمد بن أحمد البَحِيري (292) عن أبي بكر محمد بن حمدون، عن أبي الزنباع، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abu Muhammad al-Hasan bin Ahmad al-Makhladi narrated it in "al-Fawa'id al-Muntakhabah" (292) via Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Hamdun, from Abu al-Zinba', with this same chain.
وأخرجه البزار (2102) عن إبراهيم بن عبد الله بن الجُنيد، وابن عدي في "الكامل" 7/ 169، ومن طريقه ابن عساكر 24/ 234 - 235 من طريق أبي زرعة الرازي، وابن عساكر 5/ 453 - 454 من طريق أبي علي أحمد بن محمد بن موسى النوفلي، ثلاثتهم عن يوسف بن عدي به.
Reference / Source: Al-Bazzar (2102) narrated it from Ibrahim bin Abd Allah bin al-Junayd; Ibn Adi in "al-Kamil" (7/ 169), and by his route Ibn Asakir (24/ 234-235), by way of Abu Zur'ah al-Razi; and Ibn Asakir (5/ 453-454) by way of Abu Ali Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Musa al-Nawfali. All three of them narrate from Yusuf bin Adi, with this same chain.
وقال ابن عدي بعد إيراده جملة أحاديث بهذا الإسناد: يوسف بن محمد يروي عن أبيه عن جده هذه الأحاديث، وهذه تُحتَمل.
Important point: After citing a number of hadiths with this chain, Ibn Adi said: Yusuf bin Muhammad narrates these hadiths from his father, from his grandfather, and they are "tolerable" (acceptable).
