! It is narrated from Amr bin Ghalib that a man spoke disparagingly of the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), in the presence of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Be quiet, you disgraced and rejected one! Do you harm the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?!"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Shihab al-Hannat refers to Abd Rabbih bin Nafi', Amr bin Qays refers to al-Mula'i, and Abu Ishaq refers to Amr bin Abd Allah al-Sabi'i. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (3888) narrated it by way of Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi, from Sufyan al-Thawri, with this same chain. Grading: And he said: this hadith is "hasan al-hadith". Important point: Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i has another shaykh (teacher) for this hadith, namely "Arib bin Humayd Abu Ammar al-Hamdani". By his route it was recorded by Ibn Sa'd (10/ 65), and by Ahmad in "Fada'il al-Sahabah" (1647), among others, and this chain is also sahih. Bear in mind that Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i narrated very widely. Note / Clarification: "Al-manbuh" means one who is reviled, and its root is "nubah" (the barking of a dog), that is, its yelping. Note / Clarification: "Al-maqbuh" means: one who is driven away, kept far off.
