Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 5787

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (in such a state) that there was no one with him (in the early days of Islam) except five slaves, two women and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim).

Hadith Grading
Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This is because of Isma'il bin Mujalid (Ibn Sa'id al-Hamdani), who is "saduq" (truthful) and hasan in hadith. Bayan refers to Ibn Bishr al-Bajali, and Wabarah refers to Ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Musli.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (3857) narrated it via Abd Allah bin Hammad al-Amuli, from Yahya bin Ma'in, with this same chain.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari also narrated it (3660) via Ahmad bin Abi al-Tayyib, from Isma'il bin Mujalid.
