أخبرَناهُ أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المَحبُوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا عُبيد الله بن موسى، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن سِيَاهٍ، عن حَبيب بن أبي ثابت، عن عطاء بن يَسَار، عن عائشة، قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ما خُيِّر عمارٌ بين أمرَين إلَّا اختارَ أَرشَدَهُما" (2). It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever Ammar was given a choice between two matters, he chose the more rightly guided of them."

(2) إسناده صحيح كما قال الذهبي في "تاريخ الإسلام" 2/ 321. Grading: Its chain is sahih, as al-Dhahabi said in "Tarikh al-Islam" (2/ 321). وأخرجه ابن ماجه (148)، والترمذي (3799)، والنسائي (8218) من طرق عن عُبيد الله بن موسى، بهذا الإسناد. وقال الترمذي: هذا حديث حسنٌ غريب، لا نعرفه إلّا من هذا الوجه من حديث عبد العزيز بن سِياه. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (148), al-Tirmidhi (3799) and al-Nasa'i (8218) recorded it through various routes from Ubayd Allah bin Musa, with this same chain. Grading: Al-Tirmidhi says: This hadith is "hasan gharib"; we know it only through this route, i.e. from the hadith of Abd al-Aziz bin Siyah. وأخرجه ابن ماجه (148) من طريق وكيع، عن عبد العزيز بن سياه. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (148) recorded it through the route of Waki' from Abd al-Aziz bin Siyah. وأخرجه أحمد 41 / (24820) من طريق عبد الله بن حبيب بن أبي ثابت، عن أبيه حبيب، به. Reference / Source: Ahmad (41/ 24820) recorded it through the route of Abd Allah bin Habib bin Abi Thabit, from his father Habib, with this same chain.
