حدَّثَناه أبو بكر أحمد بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن أحمد بن النضر، حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو [حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بُكَير] (3) حدثنا إسرائيل، عن يوسف بن أبي بُرْدة، عن أبيه، عن عائشة قالت: كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا قام من الغائط قال: "غُفرانَك".
هذا حديث صحيح، فإنَّ يوسف بن أبي بُرْدة من ثقاتِ آل أبي موسى، ولم نَجِدْ أحدًا يَطعُن فيه، وقد ذكر سماعَ أبيه من عائشة.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out of the toilet, he would say: 'Ghufranak' ((O Allah,) I seek Your forgiveness).
This hadith is sahih (authentic), because Yusuf bin Abi Burdah is among the trustworthy narrators of the family of Abu Musa, and his father's hearing from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) is established.

(3) ما بين المعقوفين مكانه بياض في الأصول، واستدركناه من "السنن الكبرى" للبيهقي 1/ 97 حيث رواه عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم بهذا الإسناد.
Important point: The space between the brackets [ ] was originally blank; it was completed from al-Bayhaqi (1/97), where he transmitted it via the chain of Imam al-Hakim.
