أخبرني أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي الصَّنْعاني بمكة، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا مَعمَر، عن الزُّهْري، أخبرني عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعةَ - وكان أبوه قد شَهِد بدرًا: أن عمر بن الخطاب استَعمل قُدامةَ بن مَظْعُون على البَحرَين، وهو خالُ حفصةَ وعبدِ الله بن عُمر (1).

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi'ah, whose father (Amir bin Rabi'ah) had taken part in Badr: "Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed Qudamah bin Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him) as governor of Bahrain, and he was the maternal uncle of Sayyidah Hafsah and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)."

(1) إسناده صحيح. وهو في "مصنف عبد الرزاق" (17076).
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih. It is in "Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq" (17076).
وأخرجه البخاري (4011) من طريق شعيب بن أبي حمزة، عن الزهري، به.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (4011) narrated it via the route of Shu'ayb bin Abi Hamzah, he from al-Zuhri, in the same way.
