حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا العباس بن الوليد بن مَزْيَد البيروتي، حدثنا محمد بن شعيب بن شابُور، حدثني عُتْبة بن أبي حَكِيم، عن طَلْحة بن نافع، أنه حدثه قال: حدثني أبو أيوب وجابر بن عبد الله وأنس بن مالك الأنصاريون، عن رسول الله ﷺ في هذه الآية ﴿فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ﴾ [التوبة: 108]، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "يا معشر الأنصار، إِنَّ الله قد أَثنى عليكم خيرًا في الطُّهور، فما طُهورُكم هذا؟ " قالوا: يا رسول الله، نتوضَّأُ للصلاة، والغُسْلُ من الجنابة، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "هل مع ذلك غيرُه؟ " قالوا: لا، غيرَ أنَّ أحدنا إذا خرج من الغائط أحبَّ أن يستنجيَ بالماء، قال: "هو ذاكَ" (1).
هذا حديث كبير صحيح في كتاب الطهارة، فإنَّ محمد بن شعيب بن شابور وعُتْبة بن أبي حَكيم من أئمة أهل الشام، والشيخان ..... (2) إنما أخذا مُخَّ الروايات، ومثل هذا الحديث لا يُترَك له. قال إبراهيم بن يعقوب: محمد بن شعيب أعرف الناس بحديث الشاميين. وله شاهد بإسناد صحيح:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub, Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah and Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning this verse, "In it are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves" [Al-Tawbah: 108]: "O company of the Ansar! Allah Almighty has praised you greatly in the matter of purification, so what is this purification of yours?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah! We perform ablution for prayer and perform the ritual bath (ghusl) for janabah (major ritual impurity)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is there anything besides this?" They said: "Only that when one of us comes out after relieving himself, he likes to cleanse himself (istinja) with water." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is it (the reason for the praise)."
This hadith is a great and sahih (authentic) narration in the Book of Purification. Muhammad bin Shu'ayb and Utbah bin Abi Hakim are among the imams of the people of Syria, and such a narration cannot be abandoned.

(1) إسناده حسن إن شاء الله من أجل عتبة بن أبي حكيم، وبقية رجاله لا بأس بهم.
Grading: Because of 'Utbah bin Abi Hakim, this chain is, if Allah wills, "hasan", and there is no harm in all the remaining narrators.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (355) من طريق صدقة بن خالد، عن عتبة بن أبي حكيم، به. وسيأتي من هذا الطريق برقم (3326)، وانظر (685).
