It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The two men whose homes were farthest from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (and his mosque) were Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him), whose home was in Quba', and Abu Abs bin Jabr (may Allah be pleased with him), whose residence was among Banu Harithah. Both of them would offer the Asr prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then reach their people while their people had not yet prayed, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer the (Asr) prayer early (at the beginning of its time).
An account of the virtues of Sayyiduna Abu Talhah Zayd bin Sahl al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him).
