أخبرنيه أبو علي الحسين بن علي الحافظ، أخبرنا عَبْدانُ الأَهْوازي، حدثنا الحَسَن (3) بن الحارث الأهوازي، حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم، حدثنا سليمان بن المُغيرة، عن حُميد بن هلال، عن أبي بُردة، عن أبي موسى: أنَّ العلاء بن الحَضرميّ بعثَ إلى رسول الله ﷺ بمالٍ من البَحرَين، فذكر الحديث بنحوه (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that al-Ala bin al-Hadrami sent some wealth from Bahrain to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); then the narrator related the incident just like the previous hadith.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(3) تحرَّف في نسخنا الخطية إلى: الحُسين، مُصغَّرًا، وإنما هو الحسن مكبَّرًا كما تقدَّمت تسميته على الصواب عند الحديث (277)، وبذلك سُمِّي في عدة أحاديث عند الدارقطني في "سننه" (4803)، والبيهقي في "السنن الكبرى" 8/ 67، وفي "دلائل النبوة" 6/ 129، وفي "شعب الإيمان" (1955).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (3) In our manuscripts this name has been distorted into "al-Husayn" (diminutive), whereas the correct form is "al-Hasan" (full form), as his correct name has already passed under hadith number (277). He is named so in several hadiths in al-Daraqutni's "Sunan" (4803), and al-Bayhaqi's "al-Sunan al-Kubra" (8/ 67), "Dala'il al-Nubuwwah" (6/ 129) and "Shu'ab al-Iman" (1955).
