Book of Knowing the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them)
كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ صَاحِبَ سِرِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was the keeper of the secrets of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
Mustadrak al-Hakim 5450 — Abdullah bin Mas'ud was the keeper
سمعتُ أبا العباس محمد بن يعقوب يقول: سمعت العباس بن محمد يقول: سمعت يحيى بن معين يقول: كنيةُ عبد الله بن مسعود أبو عبد الرحمن (2).
Yahya bin Ma'in narrates that the kunyah of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was Abu Abd al-Rahman.
