Ya'qub narrates from his father: It reached me that on the day of Uhud Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) was wounded in twenty-one places, and he was also wounded in his foot, because of which he used to walk with a limp.

Grading: (2) All of its narrators are thiqah (trustworthy). وهو في "معرفة الصحابة" لأبي نعيم الأصبهاني (464) عن أبي حامد أحمد بن محمد بن جَبَلة، عن أبي العباس الثقفي - وهو السَّرّاج محمد بن إسحاق الوارد في إسناد المصنف - بهذا الإسناد. وهو في "تاريخ دمشق" 35/ 250 من طريق محمد بن جعفر الزَّرّاد المَنْبِجي، عن عُبيد الله بن سعد الزهري. Reference / Source: It is in Abu Nu'aym al-Asbahani's "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (464) from Abu Hamid Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Jabalah, from Abu al-'Abbas al-Thaqafi (he is "al-Sarraj", Muhammad bin Ishaq, who appears in the chain of the author (al-Hakim)), with this chain. It is also in "Tarikh Dimashq" (35/ 250) by way of Muhammad bin Ja'far al-Zarrad al-Manbiji, from 'Ubaydullah bin Sa'd al-Zuhri.
