أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الأصبَهاني، حدثنا الحَسن بن الجَهْم، حدثنا الحُسين بن الفَرَج، حدثنا محمد بن عُمر، قال: كان شرحبيل بن حَسَنة من أصحابِ رسولِ الله ﷺ، وغزا معه غَزَواتٍ، وهو أحدُ الأمراءِ الذين عَقَدَ لهم أبو بكر الصِّدِّيق على الشام (1).
Shurahbil bin Hasanah was among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He took part with him (peace and blessings be upon him) in several campaigns, and he was one of the army commanders whom Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed for the conquests of Syria.
