حدثنا بَكر بن محمد الصَّيرفي، حدثنا أبو قِلَابة، حدثنا أبو رَبيعة فَهْد بن عوف، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، عن ثابت، عن أنس: أنَّ رسولَ الله ﷺ آخَى بين أبي طَلْحة وبين أبي عُبيدة (1). صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. ذكرُ مناقب أحد الفُقهاء السِّتة من الصحابة معاذ بن جَبَل ﵁ -

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood (mu'akhat) between Abu Talhah and Abu Ubaydah (may Allah be pleased with them both).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(1) حديث صحيح، وأبو ربيعة فهد بن عوف - وإن كانوا قد تركوه كما قال الذهبي في "تلخيصه" - لم ينفرد به، فقد حمله عن حماد بن سلمة غير واحدٍ من الثقات. ثابت: هو ابن أسلم البُناني، وأبو قِلَابة: هو عبد الملك بن محمد الرّقَاشي.
Grading: (1) This hadith is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (The narrator) Abu Rabi'ah Fahd bin 'Awf, although the hadith scholars abandoned him (that is, declared him weak and left him), as Imam al-Dhahabi said in "al-Talkhis", is not alone (munfarid) in this narration.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: More than one trustworthy narrator also transmitted this narration from Hammad bin Salamah (so this narration is preserved).
Note / Clarification: "Thabit" is Thabit bin Aslam al-Bunani, and "Abu Qilabah" is 'Abd al-Malik bin Muhammad al-Raqashi.
وأخرجه أحمد 20/ (12545)، ومسلم (2528) من طريق عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، عن حماد بن سلمة، به. فاستدراك الحاكم له ذهولٌ منه.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Imam Ahmad (20/(12545)) and Imam Muslim (2528) through the route of "'Abd al-Samad bin 'Abd al-Warith", from "Hammad bin Salamah", with this chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam al-Hakim's including it as an addition (istidrak, in al-Mustadrak) is an oversight on his part (since this hadith is already in Sahih Muslim, so there was no need to add it).
وسيأتي برقم (5606) من طريق محمد بن غالب عن فهد بن عوف.
