حدثنا علي بن حَمْشاذَ العَدلُ، حدثنا موسى بن هارون، حدثنا الحسين بن علي بن يزيد الصُّدَائي، حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم بن سعد، حدثني أبي، عن محمد بن إسحاق بن يَسَار قال: أبو عُبيدة عامرُ بنُ عبد الله بن الجَرّاح بن هِلال بن أُهَيب بن ضَبّة بن الحارث بن فِهْر بن مالك بن النَّضْر بن كِنانة، وأمُّه أم غَنْم بنت جابر بن العَدْل بن عامر (1) بن عَمِيرة بن وَدِيعة بن الحارث بن فِهر (2).
Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Yasar states that the lineage of Abu Ubaydah (may Allah be pleased with him) is as follows: Amir bin Abdullah bin al-Jarrah bin Hilal bin Uhayb bin Dabbah bin al-Harith bin Fihr bin Malik bin al-Nadr bin Kinanah, and his mother was Umm Ghanm bint Jabir bin al-Adl bin Amir bin Amirah bin Wadi'ah bin al-Harith bin Fihr.

(1) كذا جاء هذا الاسمان في هذا النسب في النسخ الخطية، مع أنَّ المعروف عند علماء الأنساب أنَّ عَميرة وَلَدَ عامرةَ، هكذا بزيادة التاء المربوطة آخره، وليس في أولاد عَمِيرة من اسمه عامر، ولم يذكروا في أولاد عامرة ولدًا اسمه العدل. وانظر "طبقات ابن سعد" 3/ 379، و"نسب قريش" لمصعب بن عبد الله الزبيري ص 440، و"أنساب الأشراف" للبلاذُري 11/ 63 - 64. وبعضُهم يقول في هذا النسب: جابر بن عبد بن العداء بن عامر. انظر "تاريخ دمشق" 25/ 438.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) In the manuscripts these two names appear thus in the lineage, whereas what is well known among the genealogists is that 'Umayrah was the father of "'Amirah" (with ta' marbutah at the end). There is no one named "'Amir" among the children of 'Umayrah, nor did they mention a son named "al-'Adl" among the children of 'Amirah. [See: Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd 3/379, Mus'ab's Nasab Quraysh 440, Ansab al-Ashraf 11/63-64]. Some scholars give this lineage as: "Jabir bin 'Abd bin al-'Adda' bin 'Amir" [see: Tarikh Dimashq 25/438].
(2) وأخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (358) وعنه أبو نُعيم في "معرفة الصحابة" (578) عن محمد بن علي بن الفضل المديني، عن الحسين بن علي بن يزيد الصُّدائي، به. وفيه: جابر بن عبد بن العداء. وانظر "السيرة النبوية" لابن هشام 1/ 252 و 329.
Reference / Source: (2) Al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Kabir" (358) - and from him Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (578) - from Muhammad bin 'Ali bin al-Fadl al-Madini, from al-Husayn bin 'Ali bin Yazid al-Suda'i, with this same chain. It has "Jabir bin 'Abd bin al-'Adda'" [see: Sirat Ibn Hisham 1/252, 329].
