Khalifah bin Khayyat states that Sayyiduna Jabbar bin Sakhr (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in Madinah in the year 30 AH, and at that time he was sixty-two years old.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (1) The place of the word "thintayn" (two) was blank in manuscripts (S), (M) and ('A), and it had dropped out of manuscript (Z), although in its margin it was written: "perhaps it is thintayn". We have established it from manuscript (B), and several statements of the historians support it.
3/ 533. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: (2) This statement of Khalifah bin Khayyat is matched by Yahya bin Bukayr in al-Tabarani's "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" (2135) and by Ibn Sa'd in "al-Tabaqat" (3/533).
