أخبرني أبو بكر بن بالَوَيهِ، حَدَّثَنَا موسى بن هارون، سمعتُ مصعبَ بن عبد الله الزُّبَيري يقول: مات أبو مَرثَدٍ الغَنَوي في سنة اثنتي عشرة من الهجرة، وهو ابن ستٍّ وستين سنةً.
Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri states that Sayyiduna Abu Marthad al-Ghanawi (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the twelfth year of the Hijrah, at the age of sixty-six.
