حَدَّثَنَا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حَدَّثَنَا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حَدَّثَنَا يونس بن بُكَير، عن ابن إسحاق، في تسمية من شهد بدرًا من بني سَلِمة ثم من بني عَدِيّ بن غَنْم بن سَلِمة: بِشْرُ بن البَراء بن مَعْرُورِ بن صَخْر بن خَنْساء.
(Mention of the virtues of Bishr bin al-Bara' bin Ma'rur, may Allah be pleased with him) It is narrated from Ibn Ishaq, concerning the names of the eminent Companions of Banu Salimah, and then of Banu Adi bin Ghanm bin Salimah, who took part in the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): (Among them was) Bishr bin al-Bara' bin Ma'rur bin Sakhr bin Khansa' (may Allah be pleased with him).
