Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading of the chain: This chain is "da'if jiddan" (very weak) because of 'Ata' bin 'Ajlan; he is "matruk al-hadith", and some declared him a liar.
Comparison: Husayn bin 'Abdullah al-Hashimi narrated from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, from Umm al-Fadl, that she brought her daughter Umm Habib bint 'Abbas (or it is said: Umm Habibah) and placed her in the lap of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and she urinated ... and he mentioned a story like this one, but in a somewhat different context. Husayn al-Hashimi is "not strong", but he is in a better state than 'Ata' bin 'Ajlan.
Conclusion: It appears that what 'Ikrimah actually narrated is the story of Umm Habib bint al-'Abbas. Abu al-Yaman is "al-Hakam bin Nafi' al-Bahrani".
Reference (Husayn al-Hashimi): The hadith of Husayn al-Hashimi was narrated by Ahmad (4/ 2750) and al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (25/ 16) by way of Husayn bin 'Abdullah al-Hashimi, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, from Umm al-Fadl, who said: I brought Umm Habib bint al-'Abbas, who was a little girl, to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed her in his lap, and she urinated. I struck her on the back and picked her up, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stop (mah)." Then he called for a cup of water and poured it over the place of her urine, then said: "Make the water flow along the course of the urine." This is the wording of al-Tabarani.
The story of al-Husayn: As for the story of al-Husayn bin 'Ali, it was narrated by Ahmad (44/ 26875) and Ibn Majah (3923) by way of Qabus bin Abi al-Mukhariq, by Ahmad (26877) by way of Abu 'Iyad, and (26878) by way of 'Abdullah bin al-Harith. All three of them narrate it from Umm al-Fadl, and the chain of 'Abdullah bin al-Harith is "sahih".
Correction: In some manuscripts of "Musnad Ahmad", in the first and third places, "al-Hasan" is mentioned instead of his brother al-Husayn, which is an error, as was pointed out at number (4878). The statement of Ibn 'Abbas at the end here, with the author (al-Hakim), occurs in all three narrations from Umm al-Fadl as "marfu'", as a saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Reference: This narration has already passed in abridged form with the author at number (597), by way of Qabus bin Abi al-Mukhariq, from Umm al-Fadl Lubabah bint al-Harith.
