حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا الفضل بن محمد بن المسيَّب، حدثنا إسحاق بن محمد الفَرْوي، حدثنا عَبْد الله (3) بن عمر. وحدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا الرَّبيع بن سليمان، أخبرنا الشافعي، أخبرنا القاسم بن عبد الله، عن أبيه، عن عُبيد الله بن عمر، عن القاسم بن محمد، عن عائشة قالت: إذا مسَّت المرأة فرجَها بيدها، فعليها الوضوءُ (4).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "When a woman touches her private part with her hand, ablution is obligatory upon her."

(3) في المطبوع: عبيد الله، مصغَّرًا، وهو خطأ هنا في رواية الفروي، فإنه معروف بالرواية عن عبد الله مكبَّرًا وليس عن أخيه.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the printed edition it is written here as "'Ubayd Allah" (in the diminutive form), which is an error in the narration of al-Farwi; for al-Farwi is known for narrating from "'Abd Allah" (in the non-diminutive form), not from his brother.
(4) خبر حسن، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف عبد الله بن عمر - وهو العُمري - وقد توبع في الرواية التالية، والراويان عنه هنا هما ابنه القاسم وإسحاق بن محمد الفروي، والقاسم أشدُّهما ضعفًا.
Grading: This report is hasan, but this chain is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of 'Abd Allah bin 'Umar (al-'Umari).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): However, he is corroborated in the following narration. The two narrators from him here are his son al-Qasim and Ishaq bin Muhammad al-Farwi, and al-Qasim is the weaker of the two.
وأخرجه البيهقي في "الخلافيات" (559 - 560) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم بالإسنادين جميعًا.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "al-Khilafiyyat" (559-560) from Imam al-Hakim with both chains.
وأخرجه الدارقطني في "العلل" 14/ 100 (3448)، والخطيب في "تاريخ بغداد" 4/ 207 من طريقين عن إسحاق بن محمد الفروي عن عبد الله بن عمر، به. ¤ ¤ وأخرجه الدارقطني 14/ 100 من طريق الوليد الزعفراني، عن الشافعي، عن القاسم بن عبد الله بن عمر، عن أبيه، به.

Details of the narration: Al-Daraqutni also recorded it through al-Walid al-Za'farani, from Imam al-Shafi'i, from al-Qasim bin 'Abd Allah bin 'Umar, from his father.
