[حدثني أبو الحسين محمد بن محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، حدثنا علي بن أحمد بن سليمان، حدثنا محمد بن أصبَغ بن الفَرَج] (3) حدثني أَبي [حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن القاسم] (1) حدثنا نافع بن أبي نُعَيم، عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "مَن مَسَّ فرجه فليتوضَّأْ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح، وشاهدُه الحديث المشهور عن يزيد بن عبد الملك عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد عن أبي هريرة. وقد صحَّت الرواية عن عائشة بنت الصِّدِّيق ﵄ أنها قالت: إذا مسَّت المرأةُ فرجَها توضأَت.
هذا حديث صحيح، وشاهدُه الحديث المشهور عن يزيد بن عبد الملك عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد عن أبي هريرة. وقد صحَّت الرواية عن عائشة بنت الصِّدِّيق ﵄ أنها قالت: إذا مسَّت المرأةُ فرجَها توضأَت.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever touches his private part, let him perform ablution."
This hadith is sahih (authentic), and its supporting narration (shahid) is the well-known hadith of Sa'id bin Abi Sa'id from Abu Hurayrah; and it is also authentically established from Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) that if a woman touches her private part, she should perform ablution.

(3) ما بين المعقوفين استدركناه من "الخلافيات" للبيهقي (519) حيث ساقه عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم بإسناده ومتنه، ومن "إتحاف المهرة" لابن حجر (18425).
Reference / Source: We have completed the text between these square brackets from Imam al-Bayhaqi's "al-Khilafiyyat" (519), where he transmitted it from Imam al-Hakim with his chain and text, and also from Ibn Hajar's "Ithaf al-Maharah" (18425).

Reference / Source: This text was completed from "Ithaf al-Maharah" and from Ibn al-Mulaqqin's "al-Badr al-Munir" 2/ 472.

Grading: Its chain is jayyid (good).
وأخرجه ابن حبان (1118) من طريق أحمد بن سعيد الهمداني، عن أصبغ بن الفرَج، بهذا الإسناد - وقرن بنافعٍ يزيدَ بنَ عبد الملك: وهو النوفلي، ولفظه عنده: "إذا أفضى أحدكم بيده إلى فرجه وليس بينهما سِتْر ولا حجاب فليتوضأ".
Reference / Source: Imam Ibn Hibban (1118) recorded it through Ahmad bin Sa'id al-Hamdani, from Asbagh bin al-Faraj, with this same chain.
Details of the narration: He mentioned Yazid bin 'Abd al-Malik (al-Nawfali) together with Nafi', and his wording is: "When one of you reaches his private part with his hand (touches it) and there is no covering or barrier between them, let him perform wudu'."
وأخرجه كذلك أحمد 14/ (8404) عن يحيى بن يزيد بن عبد الملك النوفلي، عن أبيه، عن سعيد المقبري، به. ويحيى وأبوه ضعيفان.
Reference / Source: Likewise, Imam Ahmad 14/ (8404) recorded it with the chain Yahya bin Yazid bin 'Abd al-Malik al-Nawfali from his father from Sa'id al-Maqburi.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In this chain both Yahya and his father are weak narrators.
