Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4803

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that for six months continuously, whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out for the Fajr prayer, he would pass by the door of Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and say: "O people of the household, the prayer (is due)! 'Allah only intends to remove impurity from you, O people of the household, and to purify you with a thorough purification' [Surah al-Ahzab: 33]."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Hadith Grading
Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its chain is weak because of 'Ali bin Zayd - he is Ibn Jud'an - and this hadith revolves around him.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): And the mention of Humayd - he is Ibn Abi Humayd al-Tawil - in its chain here, paired (maqrunan) with Ibn Jud'an, is not "mahfuz" (preserved) at all.
Reference / Source: For this hadith was narrated by Ahmad bin Hanbal [21/ (14040)] from 'Affan bin Muslim, and likewise by al-Tirmidhi (3206) through 'Abd bin Humayd from 'Affan bin Muslim with his chain, and neither of them mentioned "Humayd" in it. Despite this, Imam al-Tirmidhi said: This hadith is hasan gharib!
Reference / Source: And Ahmad (13728) narrated it likewise from Aswad bin 'Amir, from Hammad bin Salamah, and did not mention "Humayd".
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Likewise, another group narrated it from Hammad bin Salamah without mentioning Humayd al-Tawil in it. Among them are: Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi in his "Musnad" (2171); Hajjaj bin al-Minhal [in al-Tabarani, "al-Kabir" (2671)]; Hudbah bin Khalid [in Ibn Abi 'Asim, "al-Ahad wa al-Mathani" (2953)]; Rawh bin 'Ubadah [in al-Tahawi, "Sharh Mushkil al-Athar" (774)]; 'Ubayd Allah bin Abi 'A'ishah [in Ibn Shahin, "Fada'il Fatimah" (15)]; and Ibrahim bin al-Hajjaj al-Sami [in Abu Ya'la (3978)].
Important point: From this it became clear that whoever added Humayd to the author's chain made a "wahm" (error), and Allah Most High knows best.
