It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a military expedition or a journey, he would first enter the mosque and pray two rak'ahs, then go to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), and after that go to his pure wives. Once, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned and came out of the mosque, Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) met him at the door of the house; she began kissing his blessed mouth and his eyes, and weeping. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her: "O my daughter, what makes you weep?" She said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I see you dishevelled and exhausted, and your clothes have become worn out. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then do not weep, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has sent your father with a matter (the religion) that will not leave a single house of clay or tent of hair on the face of the earth without Allah bringing into it honour (through Islam) or humiliation (through disbelief), until this religion reaches wherever the night reaches."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
(1817). Grading: Its chain is weak, as explained under no. (1817). Reference / Source: Its opening part was narrated by al-'Uqayli in "al-Du'afa'" (1331), and through him by Ibn 'Asakir (40/ 536-537), via Yahya bin Ahmad al-Mukharrimi. Here he named his shaykh as "'Uqbah bin Yarim". Reference / Source: Ibn al-A'rabi in "al-Qubal wa al-Mu'anaqah" (19) and Ibn 'Abd al-Barr in "al-Isti'ab" (p. 926) narrated it via Ibrahim bin Sa'id al-Jawhari, and al-Tabarani in "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" (22/ 595) and "Musnad al-Shamiyyin" (523) via Talib bin Qurrah; both narrated it from Yahya bin Sa'id al-Umawi. Details of the narration: Al-Jawhari said in his narration "from 'Uqbah bin Yarim from Abu Tha'labah", whereas Ibn al-Tabba' said "from 'Urwah bin Ruwaym from Abu Tha'labah". Reference / Source: Ibn 'Asakir (40/ 537) narrated it via Abu Hatim al-Razi, and the chain was as follows: "Ibn al-Tabba' from Yahya al-Umawi from Abu Farwah Yazid bin Sinan from 'Urwah bin Ruwaym from 'Uqbah bin Yarim from Abu Tha'labah". Technical note / Defect ('illah): This chain is better ("awla") than the previous one, because Abu Hatim al-Razi is a "hafiz", whereas Talib bin Qurrah is "majhul" (unknown). Details of the narration: This report has already passed under (1817) via Yunus bin Bukayr, in which "'Urwah bin Ruwaym" is mentioned and he alone is relied upon.
