It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and said: O Fatimah, by Allah, I have not seen anyone more beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than you; and by Allah, after your father (peace and blessings be upon him), there is no one among all people more beloved to me than you.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Its narrators are "la ba'sa bihim" (there is no harm in them) and known, except "Ahmad bin Yusuf al-Hamadhani". The most likely view is that he is "al-Taghlibi al-Dimashqi al-Baghdadi", whose biography is in "Tarikh Baghdad" (6/ 465) and "Tarikh Dimashq" (6/ 110). Since he was in Baghdad, it is not unlikely that he went to Hamadhan and was attributed to it as well, and Allah knows best.
Grading: Al-Dhahabi commented on this narration in his "Talkhis", saying: "Strange and astonishing (gharib 'ajib)."
Reference / Source: With the author in "Fada'il Fatimah" (42) it is in brief wording: "O Fatimah! By Allah, after your father, no one among the people was dearer to me than you." The first part (about her being the most beloved to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him) is not mentioned in it.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Shaybah (14/ 567), Abu Bakr al-Qati'i in "Zawa'id Fada'il al-Sahabah" (532) and Ibn 'Abd al-Barr in "al-Isti'ab" (p. 378) narrated something similar in a story via Muhammad bin Bishr from 'Ubayd Allah bin 'Umar, whose wording is: "O daughter of the Messenger of Allah! By Allah, no one of the creation is more beloved to us than your father, and after your father no one is more beloved to us than you."
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This wording is more authentic, and the narrator "Muhammad bin Bishr" (al-'Abdi) is thiqah hafiz.
